As one may guess, this site is an excellent resource for information about Shakespeare.

This is a great site containing "booktalks" arranged by title, author, subject and interest level.
S.C.O.R.E. CyberGuides
CyberGuides are supplementary, web-based units of instruction centered on core works of literature. They are designed for the classroom with one online computer. Each CyberGuide contains a student and teacher edition, objectives,a task and a process by which it may be completed, teach-selected web sites and a rubric.

Evaluating Web Sites
A very straightforward page to help students (and teachers) learn to evaluate the content on web pages.  Actually, the standards could apply to any source but are especially relevant for web pages since anybody can publish there and someone will believe the content is authoritative.
Introduction to Representative Poetry Online
Looking for a poem?  This site contains over 2200 poems searchable by author, title, a timeline of poetry, etc.  It is maintained by the University of Toronto.

The Exploding Dictionary
This online place to look up a word returns definitions from at least three different dictionaries - it is the meta-search tool among dictionaries.
3D Atlas
Use this site as a resource for geography - a 3-D atlas with amazing amounts of information.  The site is maintained by Compton's as a companion to their CD-ROM version of the same content but can be used with or without the software.
