AP Computer Science 
A page by Mark Stehlik providing links to his resources (and other support materials) to assist teachers and students in preparing for the AP exam.  Prof. Stehlik is Dean of Undergraduate Studies in Computer Science at Carnegie-Mellon University.
C++ in AP Computer Science
Owen Astrachan (Duke University) provides a variety of resources including his own "translation" of several previous AP exams from the Pascal era to what they would look like in C++.  This can give both a feel for the multiple choice items as well as the open-ended responses.
Classroom Connect Magazine
This is the home page for Classroom Connect magazine. It is of general interest for all disciplines and is a good resource for computer teachers wishing to present interdisciplinary applications of telecommunications.
 
National Supercomputer Project
The Education Outreach department of the National Supercomputer Project maintains a home page with information about their projects which provide supercomputer access to schools. They also have information of general interest for computer instructors about computer science topics.
 
Software Publisher's Association
The home page of the Software Publisher's Association is a resource for a conservative view of copyright law. They also have information about seminars, current issues in the courts, and links to publishers and businesses.
 
Learning on the Web
This is a good starting place for teachers new to the Internet. It is actually a complete syllabus for various instructional topics in the area of computer studies. It is maintained by Canada's Community Access Network.
 
Women and Computer Science
Here is a definitive site with links to information about women and their role in computer science. The site includes information about gender equity, famous inventors, the future of women in computing, etc.

The Association for Computing Machinery is another professional organization of interest to computer teachers.
 
MacWorld Online Journal
Here is the online version of the popular journal for mac users. Links are provided to old issues and articles. Topical searches may be performed here.
 
 
C-Net Central's How To Design Page
C-NET Central is an online magazine about the Internet. Their site provides some basic guidelines and tips for creating web pages. The hints are from a graphics designer with experience in HTML. In addition, there are links to various shareware tools for web page editing/creation.
 
How to Create a Web Page
The National Center for Supercomputing Applications was the originating site of the WorldWide Web. This is their resource for persons wishing to create web pages.
 
Maggie's Guide to Web Page Authoring
Here is a good link to a wide range of resources for browsing, authoring tools, and graphics for web page authors. Some particularly useful resources are links to graphics, backgrounds, and color indices for use in your web site.
 
World Wide Web Consortium's Style Guide for Online Hypertext
The Style Guide provides both tips for creating a page, information about appropriate format, and netiquette for web page design. In addition to providing practical guidelines for web authoring and links to web authoring resources, they solicit other suggestions from site visitors.
 
Sun on the Net: Style Guide
This site features the style suggestions for web authors from Sun Microsystems. It features detailed information about creation of web pages. They include links to information about security issues, ethics, and other web page issues.
 
Yale Web Style Manual
The web page for Yale Medical School has a wide variety of resources in addition to med-school-stuff. This is their extensive style manual and creation suggestions for making web pages.
 
The Bandwidth Conservation Society Homepage
The Bandwidth Conservation Society maintains this home page with suggestions for making web pages that are more efficient. Their goal is to conserve bandwidth as the load on the internet continues to explode.
 
Colors from Infinet
This site simply provides information about use of background colors with web pages. They are indexed two different ways to easily find a color and to find details about its use (and its hexadecimal code, of course).
 
North Central Regional Lab Technology Page
The North Central Regional Education Lab maintains this site with information regarding technology in education. The site includes lesson ideas, instructional materials for a variety of "how to" topics on internet use.
 
The Amazing Picture Machine
This site is a search engine for finding pictures on the Internet. Anyone wishing to author a web page should consider using this resource to find the perfect graphic to enhance the page.
 
Modern Language Association Standards Guide
This site provides MLA standards for citing electronic sources in research and scholarly documents.
CYBERCRIME
The US Government's official page related to cyber crime includes links to news stories, statutes, and has specially targeted pages for parents and students as well as for educators and the general public.
Northern Light:  Special Edition on Cybercrime
This is a resource appropriate for the teacher wishing to research this topic and stay somewhat in touch with what students may be exploring.  It includes links to news and information, government pages related to cyber crime, and even links to some of the most notorious pages that hackers frequent.
