as this can provide a tremendous resource for both the traveler and the
student of foreign languages. This page has links to dozens of
web-based translating dictionaries, places to make travel reservations, ways
to learn a foreign language, currency exchange rate calculators, and much

- American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages
- Information about language teaching, data from national surveys, links to national and
state organizations, national conference information
- The Human Languages Page
- The Human Languages Page is a link to a page with connections (over 1300) to information
about all foreign/human languages. Click on the "languages and
literature" button to see a list of languages from Hmong to Cherokee,
with links to more information about each. A neat site for students to
explore the big picture of world languages.

- This site is an attempt to
catalog foreign language sites that might be useful to teachers of foreign
language. They continue to add links to real-world sites that might be
useful in the classroom, too.

of Culture in France lets you take a virtual tour of the Palaeolithic wall
paintings of Lascaux. Students of all ages can explore the caves, learn more

- Esperanto: The International Language
- The Elemenary Spanish Curriculum web page contains a complete list of
skills and expectations broken down by grade levels from kindergarten
through grade 8. In addition, guidelines for teachers are included in
a separate section.

- A free online site that
lets Spanish language learners study a varietyof terms. Access the
tutorials, verb drills, vocabulary practice, and idiom generator (try it out
if you don't remember what an idiom is.) Easy to navigate, with lots
of useful information.
- Hispanic Magazine
- This is an award winning site which is a link to a monthly magazine of interest to
Hispanic readers or students. It also includes links to back issues.
All articles are written in English. Also note that there are quite a
few advertisements.
- Latino Link
- The site known as "Latino Link" includes magazine-like articles and commentary
to persons following issues of importance to Latinos. It includes links to Latino
businesses and other pages with information for the Latino community.
Articles are written in English and Spanish.

- A site for students and parents who are adjusting to life in a new culture

- "Your Japanese Guests" is an effort to provide resources that might improve
relations between Americans and Japanese. It gives information of a cultural nature and
links to further information about Japan (including nice photos). All
