Time Warner: Time Warner has links to various news services at their headquarters. This includes over a dozen major national magazines besides Time.
Flying Inkpot News: This web site provides links to hundreds of newspapers in countries all over the world. The newspapers can also be searched by keyword, category, and also by region.

InterLinks: This site is a search engine with generic links to a variety of information sources. News link includes links to Time, USA Today, CNN, Reuters, New York Times, etc.

CNN: A direct connection to CNN Interactive , a home page designed for students and teachers after the spirit of their free daily news and analysis broadcasts, is also available. Traditional news, weather, and a lighter side are included.

CBS, NBC , and ABC: Television networks have links for the general public as well. You can get news and information, updates on your soap opera, or find out David Letterman's top ten list.

PBS: The Public Broadcasting System's home page provides both program information and information about products and videos which may be ordered.

Scholastic Publishing: How about school publications such as "Electronic Learning" and projects related to such magazines and technology? This site has many free links for students and teachers. There is also a subscription service for additional resources.

The Weather Channel: The Weather Channel has this home page with weather information and links to satellite photos, etc. from all over the world.

United Media Comics: This is a link to comic strips for several syndicated cartoonists. It is a great place to retrieve cartoons - be careful to follow copyright law with regard to their use!

National Public Radio: National Public Radio has a home page with information about their programming. It also includes transcripts of some of their news broadcasts.

The Boston Globe Online: This is an example of a major newspaper that has gone online with their information. If this site is of interest to you, try also "http://internet.com" as a source to get information about other newspapers/periodicals online.

Corporation for Public Broadcasting: This is the home page for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting featuring primarily information about public television and related programming.

Wall Street Journal: This is the Wall Street Journal online and free.

Ultimate TV: This site provides television listings - if you get tired of working on the computer or can do two things at once. Listings locally are also available at the Kansas City Star (listed below).
