The World Health Organization

The American Heart Association: This is the official home page of the American Heart Association. It includes information about their efforts, research, and about cardio-vascular health in general.
USDA Center for Nutrition Policy Promotion: Find the latest research on health and nutrition on this site by the USDA. Research reports, government publications and more can be accessed (and often, downloaded) from this page.
Columbia Healthcare: This is the largest healthcare organization in the United States. Their page does contain links and information about health (as well as about their corporation.)
Sports Media: This European page is an interactive site with P.E. lesson plans, an "ask the expert" section, practical links for coaching, discussion forums, sports pen pals for kids, and a European P.E. mailing list.
KidsHealth.org: The Nemours Foundation (They operate several children's hospitals) created this excellent site that helps kids learn about various physical and mental health topics.
Physical Education Lesson Plans Online: In addition to a wide variety of lesson plans classified/catalogued, this site has a good set of links to other Physical Education sites and resources online.

University of Florida Health Links: The University of Florida is one of many links to health information.

http://nflhome.com: This is the homepage for the NFL. It contains links to all of the pro teams as well as to league information and statistics.

The National Hockey League: A similar site for the National Hockey League as the one lisd for the NFL above.

ESPN SportsZone: This is the home page of ESPN's sports magazine with information, photos, etc. from the stories seen on the air plus other information not aired.

The National Basketball Association: This is the official home page for the NBA with links to pages for all the teams, schedules, statistics, photos, etc.

http://www.quickstats.com: If your interest is in the statistics behind the games, this site is a great reference.

http://www.pc-professor.com/baseball/: This is an example of a good site created by someone other than the league with good information about professional baseball.

Sportsline: This is the official home page for the program "Sportsline". Included is information about the program as well as information and statistics and links to further information about sports.

Major League Baseball: This is the official home page for major league baseball with links to official pages for the teams as well as general information about the professional sport. Just wish they had chosen MLB for their name!
