E-Mail Attachments with HotMail

Sending the attachment:  The HotMail compose window is shown below.  To attach a file, click the "Attachments" button.  Next, click "Browse" to locate the file, "Attach" to add the file to the list of attachments.   Repeat these last two steps to attach additional files.  When all the desired files are "attached", click "Done".  Don't forget to send the message!

Note: Hotmail has a size limit of 1,000K for any attachments - some graphics or video files may exceed this and not be "attachable".

Receiving the attachment:

Hotmail will display a preview of the attachment below the e-mail message.  To download the message, click either the "download without virus scan" or "download with virus scan" button.  The file can then be saved on your computer.

Return to the attachments page or to the e-mail main page.
