Creating a New Page with FrontPage or Express

In Front Page Express...
Begin by clicking Start on the TaskBar.  Select "Programs" and select "Internet Explorer".  A pop-up menu should appear alongside the IE choice - select the FrontPage Express choice on the pop-up menu.

The menu at right shows the choices that appear by following the instructions above or by clicking New from the File menu in Front Page Express.   A "Normal Page" will bring up a blank page all ready to be edited.   A "Confirmation Form" is a standard pre-designed page to be used in sending a response to someone who submits a completed form.  The "Form Page Wizard" and the "Personal Home Page Wizard" provide templates that have already had some of the work done.  The "Survey Form" is a page already formatted to be a fill-in form. All of these options and many more are available in the FrontPage full version.

In FrontPage...
To start a new page with FrontPage, you'll probably start up FrontPage Explorer first (this is the web site manager).  If you have used the tool before, it will ask which existing web you wish to open (or if you want to start a new web).  Whether an existing web or a new web is opened, the screen eventually looks much like Windows Explorer with its listing of files in columns on the screen - all neatly organized.   An existing page may be opened from FrontPage Explorer by just double-clicking the file's icon.  For a new page, select New from the File menu.  The options below will appear.  Note that the number of options for the full version of FrontPage are much greater (partly because frame pages are possible with the full version!)  Select the desired page type and click OK.
