Creating a New Page with FrontPage 2000 Begin by clicking Start on the TaskBar. Select "Programs" and locate the FrontPage 2000 icon. Click it. FrontPage 2000 automatically opens with a new page displayed in its editing window. The process described below is 1) for opening additional new pages or 2) to open a new page that uses some of the automatic formatting features of FrontPage 2000. Here's how:
There are several options for creating a new page that has already been formatted. A sample of the window that appears is shown below. For the web page authoring classes, we'll choose to make a blank page and start from scratch with our own creativity! Click the "Normal Page" option and proceed to edit the page with the commonly used tools (described on the "tools" page. Eventually, save the page (from the "File" menu). Remember to save all elements of a web site in a single folder. Saving a page with FrontPage 2000 Periodically while working on any file (or when you are done working on FrontPage 2000) it is desirable or necessary to save your work. This is as easy as clicking "File" then selecting "Save as" from the pull down menu. Name the file using the guidelines for file naming. Select the desired location from the save window that appears and then click the "Save" button in the lower right corner of the window and voila! The file is saved.
