Creating a List With a WYSIWYG Editor The tools for Netscape and for FrontPage are very similar for making lists. There are several methods available with each of these tools. Method 1 - The numbered list (ordered list) icon includes numbers 1, 2, 3 while the bulleted list icon has little bullets. Clicking either icon will begin a list. Indenting will automatically occur, and numbering or bulleting will begin each new line as Return/Enter is pressed. Hit Return/Enter twice and the list will be terminated. Method 2 - Method 2 actually allows both numbered and bulleted as well as an additional type of list to be created. For the two types above, select from the "Text Type" menu on the tool bar. The setting for this menu is usually "Normal", but can be changed to Bulleted List or Numbered List. The additional type of list is for a list of terms with indented definitions under each term. Select Defined Term from the menu to start this type of list. Hitting Return/Enter will automatically switch to a Definition (indented appropriately below the term). Hitting return again goes back to an undented defined term, etc. Hitting Return/Enter twice in a row ends the list and returns to normal text. Method 3 - Highlighting a section of text (probably entered as individual lines of text) and then clicking on one of the list icons will convert the selected text into a list. Also, it is possible to create nested lists by highlighting the portion to be doubly indented and then clicking the "indent more" tool. Actually, with FrontPage, you'll need to click the icon twice.
