Building a Web Site Part II
Using Frames:  Overview

In this session, each participant should try creating a single page that contains two (or more) frames.  Frames may be used to organize the content of a page.  For instance, a thin frame along one side of the screen can make an excellent navigation point to other pages in a site.  The instructional pages (links below) are examples of how frames may be used as navigation tools.

Reminders - By the end of week four, you should have done the following things.

  • posted a personal page ( week 1)
  • created a page using tables  (week 2)
  • created a page including an image map ( week 3)
  • experimented with frames ( week 4 - not required as part of final project)

Don't forget that next week, we hope to be well on the way to completing a final project involving multiple pages.  For grading purposes, check with the instructor for final due dates.

Let's  continue our study of Frames with FrontPage now!  Note that there is no quiz for this section.
