Creating and Using WebQuests
A Project-Based Course

Research & Project Work - During the research phase, participants will identify resources for use by students in completing the tasks associated with the WebQuest.  Project work will involve writing preliminary drafts of the various components of the web site:  Introduction, Task, Resources, Evaluation, and Conclusion.  As time permits, a "Teaching Suggestions" section will also be drafted.  Below is a proposed timeline for the work:

  • Write the Introduction and Task (during work week 1)
  • Receive feedback on Introduction and Task, complete Resources links (during weeks 1 & 2)
  • Design the Evaluation section (during weeks 2 and 3)
  • Receive feedback on the Evaluation section, write Conclusion (during weeks 3 and 4)
  • Enhance overall appearance and workings of the WebQuest (weeks 4 and 5)

We'll be back together for group feedback and putting finishing touches on our projects following the research and work weeks.

This session's materials are soon to be expanded - check with the instructor for additional content elements until revisions can be completed and posted.
